Cross Platform Purchase Restore Instructions

What do we mean by "cross platform purchase restore?" 

We mean if you first bought Rough Draft on Mac and want to restore your purchase on your iPhone or iPad, and vice versa.

Rough Draft was designed to automatically sync your purchase from Mac-to-iOS through your iCloud account. If your purchase isn't synced automatically it is likely caused by one of the following requirements not being in place. If you are having trouble with unlocking Rough Draft please check if…

Check if Rough Draft is updated to the latest version

Some earlier versions of Rough Draft do not include the updates necessary to sync your purchase, so please make sure and upload to the latest version just to be safe!

Make sure both devices are logged into the same iCloud account

We sync your purchase through your iCloud account, so you'll need to be logged into the same iCloud account to unlock your purchase. If you are logged into different accounts on your devices please log into the same iCloud account on both devices. Once you've synced your first draft between the devices your purchase should sync too.

Check that your purchase is unlocked on the platform (Mac/iOS) that you originally purchased on.

If it is no longer showing up as unlocked please use the Restore Purchase button on the platform that you initially purchased Rough Draft on. When your next draft syncs to any device your purchase will sync too!
